Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR
Leeds, Wetherby & Online

I would love to think that, as I sit here cotemplating what to write, I have something profound to say about 2020. I don't. It was one hell of a year and one we won't be forgetting in a hurry. For Clare and I 2020 felt a very on/off year. At the beginning of the year we were seeing people face to face then suddenly in March we made the shift to working completely online.

To be honest we were sceptical about offering remote therapy but we have had to eat our words. It has been a steep learning curve, but it has been great and we have had good reports from our clients about their experiences of using Zoom Pro for online therapy. We have been able to maintain our professionalism and continue to provide compassionate and caring evidence based therapy.

In September we were able to start seeing cllients face to face again but we have kept our online sessions going. Our scepticism has long since vanished and online therapy is now a regular part of our working life. The quick shift to mass online therapy has also provided researchers with ample opportunity to explore the theapeutic outcomes of online work and the results are very good. Online therapy is effective and definitely here to stay.

So, what will happen in 2021? Who knows? Wiser women than me are working on that question!

These are things I do know:
Clare and I will continue to offer a mix of face to face and online sessions at our clinics in Leeds, Wetherby and York
You don't need a GP referral to make an appointment to see us
We work with clients who fund themselves independently or use private health insurance to fund sessions
We are more than happy to answer any queries you might have about therapy so if you are curious about CBT or EMDR or CFT then please do get in touch with us
It is vital that we tend to ourselves and we live our life fully, here and now, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future

We wish you a gentle 2021.
